Sake Workshop

George Brown College's Faculty of Business, Creative Industries and Culinary Arts is conducting a day-long Sake Workshop Saturday, October 18, 2025 from 9AM-3PM. The Sake Workshop focuses on how sake is made as well as the traditions of this celebrated beverage. Participants will learn about the beverage's history, how it is brewed, sake ingredients, the categories & grades of sake, and through the sensory evaluation of the beverage, learn about the many aromatic structure and flavour profiles of a variety of styles of Sake from all over the world.

CAPS Cup Ontario

A blind wine tasting competition offered in NIAGARA, TORONTO & OTTAWA for sommeliers and wine professionals in Ontario, hosted by CAPS Ontario (the Ontario chapter of the Canadian Association of Professional Sommeliers), to test blind tasting skills and promote wine education and community engagement within the province's diverse wine industry. It is an inclusive event open to professionals from various backgrounds and certifications, including those certified by the Court of Master Sommeliers, CAPS, and WSET.
